I’ve been a writer since I could write. No matter the form (magazines, reporting, non-fiction books, and technical manuals), the love of writing crisp, clear prose is the through line to my story. My personal mission is to take complex material and explain it in ways that make it accessible and useful to consumers.

Combining my writing skills with a knack for organization has also led me into project management, speaking and training. I specialize in non-profit, social services, and positive youth development. I work on the local, regional, and national level.

I’m serious about my work but everyone’s got to play. I have a long history of involvement in artistic endeavors as well as volunteering and putting my shoulder to the plow on behalf of groups whose good work I support.

My main outlet is working as an Assistant Director for the Seattle Knights and Pirates of Puget Sound. We’re an acting company that specializes in sword fighting with real steel, appearing at Renaissance faires, pirate festivals, parties, events, and our own Penumbra Fantasy Faire.
